This page covers biological principles of grounding.
Overview
- grounding means connecting to the real world, not artificial simplified conditions
- when muscle is trying to contract it takes into account whether environment allows it (alpha-gamma motoneurons)
- reflex circuits allow to react to environment changes as fast as possible
- major perception is performed via skin and adjacent tissue with pressure receptors or other types of receptors
- grounding establishes a method to perceive and identify new environment objects
