Overview

• somatic means muscle effectors, muscle proprioception, tissue and skin exteroception
• somatic elements work in the same coordinate space
• muscles are distributed while high-level centers for muscle control and somatic sensations are continuous structures

Conscious sensations

Pattern: conscious skin touch sensation
